A drive through the
mountains
My
boys and I took an
evening drive in the Plymouth to Galena Summit,
about 45 miles from home, for a quick photo shoot. I'm driving
the car daily 30 to 60 miles round trip to work and back. I've
only had a couple of clitches, a faulty fuel pump, and a momentary
lapse of function with the starter. Otherwise, the car is a treat
to use for my everday ride.
Here's
the pics, enjoy...
We had
a
great time on
our
little 2 hour jaunt, can't wait to do it again before the snow sticks.
The car made the climb without breaking a sweat, handled the hairpin
curves easily, and the old-tech drum brakes didn't fade or worry me at
all.
This road is probably the most extreme driving my plymouth
will see, but it will see it many times for sure. For those who say
these old cars aren't worthy daily drivers, they haven't driven one
lately!
