Here is the '50, the day we bought it, barn fresh.

The car is completely intact,
but the original paint is wearing thin
and the interior is suffering
from age. The stainless beltline around the windows is perfect,
but the stainless strips on the fenders all need some straightening.

No rust in the body, but a bit in the front floor
pans. Only a couple of small dents in the fenders, nothing
serious.

Here is the original 218 flathead six, note the
block heater that goes through a special head bolt. It still
works! The engine has since made an amazing transformation, check
out the engine page for details.

Check out those spark plugs! If they are not
the originals, they have been there a very long time. The
original head has been replaced with an Edgy finned aluminum head, so I
didn't have to worry about getting the plugs out.
