You're making me jealous! I'm still a tiny bit away from that. Post some pics of the body mounts if you can.

the cab and bed are finally set.
Just finished the diesel filler neck and starting on the steering column next.
Anyone have any good pictures/details on installing chevy steering column and brake petal assembly in the willys?IMG_1474.jpgIMG_1476.jpgIMG_1582.jpg

Awesome!! You're cruising along. I appreciate the photo of the body mount. I'm at that point next weekend.

Forgive me first time trying from tap talk. If u still have the donor truck get the plate that the booster bolted to from the fire wall. I was able to break the spot welds with a hammer and cold chisel. The bracket under the dash that the pedal mounts to also mounts the steering column. If I use the system as gm designed it all the angles and relationship to steering wheel stay "comfortable". I was actually able to use a original gm steering shaft to connect to the box. Pictures might explain it better

This might be a better shot of the plate. Everything lines up nice. It stiffens the fire wall up. And it is a bolt on affair

chdecoys, do you have any pictures of how you managed all the power steering, brake line and steering shaft with the Willy fender??

The brakes are hydrobost, so it tucks up close to the fire wall. There is no big vacuums canister to push it out. It's bolted to the stock plate that I grabbed off the donor truck . The pedal assembly is bolted to the stock gmc arrangement on the inside . It all fit under the dash well. You can see the steering shaft passes threw the fender well to the box. The line of the inner fender well followed the frame not to bad. If I recall we only had to do minor tapping with a hammer and steel block to roll the edge over.
