Hi Gary. That's good news that you're "Getting er Done" so fast. The Trinkets that you found in your old Truck is Cool! Did you find any Live Rounds of Ammo? I think I have found Ammo in every old Truck I've Had! A few old Tools and some paperwork. Keep those Items to show off when your project is done. That's a cool thing! Pivnic

:)Hey, when yo got the pick up did you realize you got a man inside it too? Those things can get expensive to keep. ............... ...... Get it, man inside, I crack myself up sometimes.....

Getting closer to finding the sweet spot on the frame for the body. Just waiting on a radiator to double confirm exact spot.

Looking good I hope the sweet spot does not result in having to move the engine. Keep it up you are gaining on it.

So far that isn’t a problem. It looks like with the new radiator and an electric pusher fan will be sufficient. Just want to make sure before I make body mounts

The final piece came in today that I needed for final placement of the body. I ordered a radiator hoping that it would be right and BINGO! Perfect fit!

It bolted right in and gave me the clearance I needed for the bottom hose!

I’m extremely confident with the pusher fan in front that the cooling part is good and the position of the body will be fine. Thank you everyone for the input, especially to Pivnic for the helpful information! The next three days I work 12 hour shifts which will give me more time to get over flu. Next week I will be back in the shop.

Whoa. Hold the phone. That radiator is a perfect fit for the grille? If so I need to check into that for sure!

Does the other grille/radiator support from the firewall clear that radiator? It almost looks like there isn't enough clearance.

Just an observation: The EBay ad says the radiator will fit a 6-226, but the top radiator hose is on the wrong side for a 6-226. It would be correct for a 6-230 though.

Can't tell for sure by looking at your pictures, but it appears you have enough room for a mechanical fan. If you do, are you still going with an electrical fan, and why? Thanks

I am short for the mechanical fan so I’m going with an electric pusher fan in front

How much room is between the engine and radiator. I have low profile spal puller fan on my 1947 Dodge pickup that is just a little over 2 inches thick. That being said, if you have only 1.9999999 inches between the two, a pusher will be the only option for you.
I only mention because on the Hot Rod sites, the pullers seem to be the preferred fans (if there is room).

You have done a lot of work in short time frame. Keep at it and I hope the flu bug that got to you is now history.

Pullers are preferred as up to 20% more efficient than the same fan used on the front. So make sure you take that into account when choosing the cfm of the fan.

Today I was able to cut old cab mounts off the frame and mount the new ones I made. Tomorrow, hopefully can work on mounts for under grill and getting box mounted.

Gary, you have accomplished a lot on your project, in just a little over a months work. I appreciate that you bolted your cab mounts onto the frame rather than welding. Seeing the progress you are making is motivating me to get my MG done so I can start on the Willys. I have inspected my Willys many times since you started your built. My cab is in good shape, however my box is not so good.
